Erskineville Road Upgrade

PROJECT VALUE

$7.9 million

DURATION

February 2021 – December 2021

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project aims to improve connections and create safer, greener spaces in the Ashmore precinct. Key features include a new 230-meter underground drain to mitigate street flooding and a new bi-directional cycleway. Works also involve wider roads, upgraded service infrastructure, garden swales, new pedestrian crossings, and the relocation of power wires underground. These improvements will support precinct growth and enhance existing community facilities.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Carrabay's scope was to supply and install reinforcement, as well as form and pour the in-situ culvert bases and drainage pits. We executed a staged program, collaborating closely with the head contractor and other subcontractors to protect the site from weather-related delays.

Despite challenges posed by the global pandemic, our detailed planning and logistical coordination, including efficient traffic management, ensured the project progressed smoothly. The head contractor and client have expressed great satisfaction with our progress.

Carrabay staff have been commended for their proactive approach to health and safety and their exceptional attention to detail, which resulted in a defect-free project delivery.
