PROJECT OVERVIEW

The City of Sydney has hired Delta Group for Stage 1 of the Green Square to Ashmore Connector (GS2AC) project. This involves building a new 380-meter road from Geddes Avenue to Bowden Street, which includes two new signalised intersections and an upgrade to an existing one. The project also prioritises working with First Nations businesses, local SMEs, and social enterprises.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Carrabay is contracted by Delta to build a 120-meter by 3-meter retaining wall and supply the reinforcement for it. The work is being coordinated daily alongside earthwork activities to maintain safety.

Carrabay uses a panel shutter system for efficient construction in the confined space. All temporary works are carried out according to company procedures and Australian Standards. The client has praised Carrabay for being proactive, safe, and assisting with project planning, especially with the delays caused by COVID-19, contaminated ground, and bad weather.
